Eventide

Eventide is a Grade II listed cottage in Plymstock, on the edge of Plymouth and a short drive from Mount Batten. The two-bedroom home sleeps 4 and blends the cottage's original features with a more contemporary, industrial-style interior.

The ground floor holds a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with a woodburning stove, plus a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, giving the cottage one bathroom in total. Upstairs, a king-size bedroom with an original A-framed ceiling is reached through a mezzanine twin bedroom with Velux windows, up two further steps; the staircase itself is steep, narrow and open-treaded, and the mezzanine handrail has wide gaps between its spindles, so the property is described as unsuitable for guests with limited mobility.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, a two-ring induction hob, a microwave and a fridge with an ice box, and electric radiators heat the cottage throughout. A Smart TV and WiFi are provided, and fuel, power and a starter pack for the woodburner are included in the rent, along with bed linen and towels.

Outside, an enclosed front garden has a patio, furniture and a charcoal barbecue, reached down five steps from two off-road parking spaces. Eventide does not accept children under 8, does not take pets, is no smoking throughout, and does not accommodate contractor or workmen bookings. The nearest shop and pub are around 0.1 miles away, with the River Plym about 1.2 miles and the beach around 2 miles.
