Oak Cottage

Oak Cottage is a detached, traditional cottage in the lakeside village of Hooe, close to Mount Batten and Plymouth Sound. The cottage has its own pontoon for launching kayaks and paddleboards, and sleeps 5 across three bedrooms.

The kitchen has a gas range oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, and a separate dining room seats the group for meals. In the sitting room, a woodburning stove sits opposite an armchair and sofa. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a single with a Velux skylight, sharing one family bathroom with a bath and shower over.

Outside, a courtyard garden has patio furniture and bench seating that looks out over Hooe Lake, a spot for a drink at the end of the day. On-street parking is available, and a highchair and travel cot can be requested for younger guests.

The cottage has exposed beams throughout, and the master bedroom's sloping eaves and high beamed ceiling give it village views. Within walking distance is Jennycliff beach, with a cafe and playground, and Radford Park and Radford Woods Local Nature Reserve are a short stroll away for walking and cycling.

Oak Cottage welcomes two well-behaved pets. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent, and smoking is not permitted inside. Both the shop and the nearest pub are around 0.1 miles away.
