Defoe's View is a split-level eco house in the Blackdown Hills near Honiton, heated by a ground source heat pump and run on renewable power. It sleeps 8 across four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with wide half-flight stairs linking the levels. The property can be booked together with the neighbouring property, reference 1046010, for a combined 16 guests.

The four super-king-size bedrooms sit across the house's split levels, linked by wide half-flight stairs, including at least one on the ground floor for easy access. Two of the bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom, one with a bath and one with a walk-in shower; one of these opens onto a corner balcony with valley views, the other overlooks the pond. A ground-floor shower room serves the rest of the group, and three of the four beds convert from super-king to twin on request.

The lower-ground-floor living space is open plan, with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area fitted with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a TV and WiFi. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. Outside, an enclosed patio has outdoor seating, and guests can use the owner's surrounding five acres of land, including a field pond.

Ample off-road parking is provided behind electric gated access. The property does not accept pets and is no smoking throughout, and stag, hen or similar parties are not accepted. There is deep water on site, so children must be supervised at all times. Honiton's high street, known for lacemaking, is a short walk away.
