Cornborough Combe

This farmhouse sits at the end of a private driveway between Abbotsham and Westward Ho, with an adjoining studio annexe reached from outside the main house. Original wooden floors, exposed beams and stonework run through the ground floor, and the entrance hall leads up a few steps to a lounge with a wood burner (first basket of logs included), a Smart TV and a piano. A separate family room has an inglenook fireplace, French doors onto the garden and a Nintendo Wii, PlayStation and table football for evenings in.

The kitchen/diner is fitted with an electric range oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, airfryer and Nespresso machine, plus a long dining table beneath a skylight and a breakfast bar. A separate utility room holds the washing machine, and Starlink internet covers the property. Note that the historic main house has uneven floors, internal steps and a twisting cottage-style staircase to the first floor.

Four bedrooms sit upstairs in the main house, all south-facing: two super-king rooms with en-suite shower rooms, a king room that can be converted to 2'6" twins, and a bunk room for children, with the last two sharing a family bathroom. The single-storey studio annexe, entered only from outside, has a twin bedroom/lounge with a vaulted ceiling, a kitchenette and its own en-suite wet room. The property sleeps ten in total, though the bunk beds are suitable for children only and the accommodation is intended for a maximum of eight adults.

Outside, a patio has garden furniture, a BBQ and a private hot tub, and the enclosed private lawn adjoins woodland grounds with a shallow stream, so children and dogs should be supervised nearby. A swing and slide set with a football goal is also on site. Parking is available for four to five cars. Two dogs are permitted, with additional charges applying, and a travel cot, highchair and stairgates can be requested ahead of arrival.
