Chawleigh log lodge near Chulmleigh with a private hot tub

Copper Lodge is a single-storey retreat built from Douglas Fir timber logs in the village of Chawleigh, near Chulmleigh. The two bedrooms sit in separate buildings next to each other, and the lodge sleeps 6: 4 across the bedrooms plus 2 more on a double sofa bed.

The main building holds a super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite bath, walk-in shower and heated towel rail, alongside an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area warmed by a woodburning stove. The secondary building is a studio with its own super-king-size bed, a freestanding bath, a small kitchen area and a walk-in shower room designed for two. There are steps up to the property, so take care.

Outside, the front decking has furniture and a hot tub, and the rear garden has a lawn, furniture and space for a family barbecue; the front lawn gives dogs and children room to play, and the grounds include on-site fishing. Private driveway parking is provided for 2 cars, and a cot and highchair are available on request.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome but not allowed on the furniture. Smoking is not permitted. The pub is a mile away and the shop 1.3 miles; check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am.
