Copper Suite

Copper Suite is a single-storey lodge built from Douglas Fir logs, set up a private drive in Chawleigh, a small village a couple of miles from Chulmleigh. Steps lead up to the entrance. Inside, the one bedroom holds a super king-size bed made up as a zip-link, so it can also be arranged as a twin on request, with an en-suite bath, a separate walk-in shower, a basin and a heated towel rail.

The open-plan living space brings together a kitchen, dining area and sitting area around a woodburning stove. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, and air source heat pumps handle the background heating. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove are included in the rent, and there's a TV and WiFi.

Front decking holds a private hot tub, and a rear garden has a lawn, furniture and a barbecue. Guests also have access to nearby rivers for fishing, and a highchair and travel cot can be provided on request. Private driveway parking is available for 2 cars.

Copper Suite takes two well-behaved dogs, though they're not allowed on the furniture. Smoking isn't permitted inside. It's a single-storey building, but there are steps up to the front door, worth planning for if anyone in the group finds steps difficult. The nearest pub and shop are each around a mile away.
