Chestnut Lodge

Chestnut Lodge stands on Twelve Oaks Farm in Teigngrace, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, near Newton Abbot. It is a detached, single-storey lodge with off-road parking for 2 cars and wrap-around decking fitted with furniture and a barbecue for outdoor dining.

The open-plan living area combines a kitchen with a gas double oven, five-ring hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, a sitting area warmed by an electric flame-effect stove, and a separate snug that offers some space away from the main room. Three Smart TVs and WiFi cover the lodge, and fuel and power are included in the rent.

Chestnut Lodge sleeps 4 in two bedrooms: a king-size with its own en-suite shower room, and a twin served by a second shower room, both with Smart TVs of their own. A highchair and cot are available on request for younger visitors, and children need supervising at all times as this is a working farm.

One well-behaved dog is welcome for an extra charge; cats are not permitted. Guests share the farm's outdoor heated swimming pool, open 8am to 8pm from May to September, its own shop and a fishing lake, plus a dedicated electric vehicle charging point payable at reception. Saturday-only arrivals apply between 19 July and 30 August, Sunday changeovers are not available, and commercial vehicles need authorisation in advance.
