Buddicombe House

Buddicombe House is a five-bedroom house on the edge of Combe Martin, in the Exmoor National Park with rolling countryside and sea views. Off-road parking for 5 cars sits in front, and a front patio with seating looks over the same view. The sitting room has dual-aspect windows, a TV and a woodburning stove, and the ground floor also holds a kitchen/diner, a dining room with its own woodburning stove and seating for 10, a utility room and a cloakroom.

Upstairs, the five bedrooms are a king-size room with its own woodburning stove, a private balcony over the countryside and sea, and an en-suite shower room; a second king-size room with an en-suite shower room; a double with sea views and an en-suite shower room; a twin room with a sea view; and a bunkroom. A family bathroom with a bath and separate shower serves the two rooms without their own en-suite. The house sleeps 10.

The enclosed, south-facing rear garden has furniture and a barbecue for outdoor meals, and an external games room holds a pool table, air hockey and a TV. The kitchen has an electric AGA, a combi microwave/oven, a separate microwave, a fridge/freezer, a freezer, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a dishwasher, and there are seven TVs and WiFi through the house. Heating comes from a biomass system, with fuel, power and a woodburning-stove starter pack included in the rent, though logs are limited through the winter months.

Buddicombe House welcomes three well-behaved dogs, and sheep graze in the surrounding fields, so dogs need to stay under control at all times. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request. The village shop is around 1 mile away and the nearest pub 2 miles. Smoking is not permitted inside.
