Awdry Bungalow

Awdry Bungalow is a single-storey lodge on the Lakeview Rise resort in Highampton, about 2 miles from Sheepwash in Devon. It sleeps 2 in one double bedroom with an en-suite bath, handheld shower, basin and WC.

The open-plan living space has a kitchen with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, a dining table for two and a sitting area with a TV showing Freeview. WiFi is available, though it can be unreliable for streaming, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Guests can use the resort's shared, heated indoor swimming pool, open every day with a set maximum in the water at once, set within three and a half acres alongside a carp-filled fishing lake. Off-road parking is provided for 1 car, and there's an enclosed veranda with decking and furniture for outdoor time.

Awdry Bungalow takes two well-behaved dogs. Smoking is not permitted inside the property, and the shop is 1.9 miles away with the pub 0.6 miles from the door. The Golden Inn serves local ales close by, and Sheepwash itself has a convenience store and the Half Moon Inn.

Great Torrington is 9 miles away, home to the RHS Garden Rosemoor and Torrington Commons, while Okehampton, 12 miles away, has the Museum of Dartmoor Life and Okehampton Castle. Dartmoor National Park is within reach for walking and exploring.
