Chaffinch Lodge

Chaffinch Lodge is a single-storey lodge on Legge Farm, a 28-acre site near Highampton with five unfenced fishing lakes, woodland walks and a wildlife pond with a picnic area. Although the lodge is on one level, there are three steps up to the front door.

The master double bedroom has its own en-suite walk-in shower room with basin and WC, and a twin bedroom is served by a separate bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC. The open-plan living area combines the kitchen, dining space and a sitting area with an electric fire.

The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, alongside a washer/dryer and dishwasher, and there's a TV with Freeview. Gas central heating covers the lodge, backed up by the electric fire, with fuel and power included in the rent.

A private patio with furniture sits outside, and guests are free to wander the farm's acres, woodland walks and lakeside paths. Fishing on the lakes carries an extra charge and guests need to bring their own tackle. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, though they must stay on a lead around the fishery, and children need supervising near the unfenced lakes. No smoking is permitted.
