Sheepwash

Rural Devon village stays with countryside on the doorstep

Sheepwash is a rural Devon village where the surrounding countryside sets the tone for a stay. Buddle House takes six guests across three ground-floor bedrooms, two king-size and one double, served by a family bathroom and an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower. A utility space near the entrance handles muddy boots and wet kit, with a washing machine and tumble dryer close to hand. A separate ground-floor snug adds a second sitting room complete with a bioethanol fireplace and Smart TV, giving the group space to spread out.

The reverse-level layout at Buddle House places the main living area upstairs, where skylights and generous windows fill the open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge with natural light. The kitchen holds an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and air fryer, and a bespoke wooden dining table seats the full party. An enclosed rear garden provides two furnished patios and a lawn, while private off-road parking for two cars and an untethered EV charger complete the practical picture. A pub and shop sit within 300 metres.
