3 Tarifa

3 Tarifa is a newly refurbished apartment in a block of seven in Bigbury-on-Sea, about 350 yards from the beach and within reach of Challaborough. Set on one level, it sleeps 4 across two bedrooms: a king-size double with an en-suite bathroom, and a twin room with a TV, plus a separate shower room.

The sitting room has a dining area and glass doors that slide open onto a balcony, with sea views from the twin bedroom. The kitchen is fitted with a fridge-freezer, microwave, washer dryer and dishwasher, and guests have use of a shared lawn outside.

Burgh Island lies across the causeway at low tide, reachable on foot or, when the tide is in, by the sea tractor. A bodyboard or surfboard can be hired from the local surf school, and The Pilchard on the island serves a quiet drink beside the scenery that inspired several of Agatha Christie's mysteries. The South West Coast Path passes close by, and Kingsbridge and Salcombe are within driving distance for shops and places to eat.

One car can park in a reserved space, and WiFi and a phone line are included in the rent. No pets are allowed and the property is no smoking. Bookings must start on a Friday, and short breaks are not available.

Bed linen and towels are included in the rent, along with a phone line, TV and DVD player. A cot and highchair can be arranged on request for younger guests.
