13 Burgh Island Causeway

13 Burgh Island Causeway is a first-floor apartment within the same Bigbury-on-Sea building as its ground-floor neighbours, close to Challaborough, with views south and west toward Burgh Island and, at low tide, the sands reaching out to it. Big glass doors lead from the living space onto a good-sized balcony fitted with outdoor furniture.

The apartment sleeps 4 across two en-suite bedrooms, a double with a bath and shower over and a twin with a shower room, both finished with limestone fittings. The open-plan living space has light oak Danish furnishings, a dining area and a kitchen with a fridge, freezer, washer-dryer, dishwasher and microwave, plus a TV with DVD, WiFi and a phone for calls.

Heating comes from electric panel heaters, night storage heating and underfloor heating. Guests share the building's leisure facilities, including an indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym and sauna, though children under 14 are not permitted in the gym or sauna. A restaurant and bar within the building serves food through the day in high season, with reservations recommended, and there is a lounge with sofas and WiFi.

13 Burgh Island Causeway does not accept pets, and smoking is not permitted. Off-road parking is provided in a single reserved space, and a pub is under a mile away. Check-in is from 4pm, and bed linen and towels are included in the rent. The leisure facilities are open daily from 10am, except on Christmas Day.
