2 Armada House

2 Armada House is a first-floor apartment just yards from the beach in Hope Cove, about 5 miles west of Salcombe. The entrance has room for walking and beach gear, and the kitchen catches a glimpse of the sea over the neighbouring thatched cottages while you cook.

Wide arches and wooden doors lead through to a spacious open-plan lounge and dining area with a TV and a mini CD hi-fi. The two bedrooms sit on the same floor: a double with an en-suite shower room, and a twin, both served alongside a fully tiled family bathroom with a bath and electric shower.

The kitchen has a ceramic hob, an electric double oven, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Although the apartment itself is on one level, there are steps down to the property from the lane behind, and the flat above has wooden floors that can sometimes be heard.

Only unloading is permitted in the bay behind the property; parking is in the village car park around 50 yards away, at an extra cost. One well-behaved dog is welcome. No smoking is allowed, and guests need to bring their own beach towels and oven gloves.
