Dove Lodge

Dove Lodge is a single-storey lodge set on a private fishery near Highampton, about 2.7 miles from Sheepwash. Although the lodge is ground floor, there are three steps up to the front door and its decking. Inside, double doors open the open-plan living space onto the decking, with a kitchen, dining table for two and a sitting area with a TV.

The king-size bedroom sits off a hallway with a hidden cupboard for coats and shoes, and has fitted wardrobe storage. The shower room has a corner shower cubicle, basin, heated towel rail and WC. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, and gas central heating runs throughout. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Guests fish the on-site lakes with their own equipment, with fishing charges and some bait available on site and guidebooks and advice from the owner. Off-road parking is provided, and an enclosed lawned area gives dogs room to roam, though dogs must stay on a lead around the fishery's unfenced lakes.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, and the lodge is no smoking. A shop is around 2.6 miles away and a pub about 1.2 miles away.
