Windbury Barn

This former grain store forms part of a small development close to Hartland, within easy reach of the South West Coast Path and open countryside walks. The end-of-terrace layout keeps the barn character intact, with apex ceilings, exposed beams and French doors leading from the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area onto the patio.

The ground floor holds the double bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC, plus a single bedroom, alongside a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and a separate WC. Wooden stairs rise to a galleried landing styled as a snug reading area, with the twin bedroom tucked into the eaves and fitted with its own TV, plus a further WC with low sloping ceilings nearby. The property sleeps five in total.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, air fryer, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, with a washing machine housed in a separate utility cupboard off the hall. A wood burner in the lounge comes with a first basket of logs included, and there is a Smart TV with DVD player for evenings in.

Outside, a sunken enclosed patio with rattan seating and a charcoal barbecue sits below a larger lawned garden with steps up between the two areas and views across surrounding fields. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, along with an EV charging point (Zappi), though guests must bring their own charging lead and the cost is settled directly with the owners on arrival. Wi-fi is available but limited to a maximum of 5Mb and can be intermittent given the rural setting. Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying, and families should note a low stone wall with a drop in the upper part of the garden.
