Highfield Barn

This converted former grain store sits within a small complex of properties on the Hartland Peninsula in North Devon, close to the coastal path along the clifftops of this stretch of coastline. The village of Hartland, around three miles away, has a small selection of shops, three pubs, a coffee shop and a bakery.

Inside, the ground floor is arranged as an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a double-height ceiling and exposed beams. The lounge has a wood burner (logs can be bought locally in the village), a Smart TV with DVD player, and comfortable sofa seating. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

The double and single bedrooms are also on the ground floor, with the double benefiting from an en-suite shower room with WC, and a separate bathroom with a shower-over-bath and WC serving the rest of the house. Wooden stairs lead up to a galleried landing, set up as an additional seating area, which holds the twin bedroom with its own separate WC and basin.

Outside there is a generously sized enclosed garden overlooking the surrounding fields. Ample off-road parking is provided on site, though EV charging is not available. Up to three dogs can stay, with additional charges applying, and the property is reached along country roads. A travel cot and highchair are provided for younger guests, and anyone with specific accessibility requirements is advised to check provision before booking.
