Valley View

Valley View is a detached house set over three floors in the North Devon Heritage Coast Nature Reserve, about a mile from Ilfracombe. It sleeps 10 across five bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The lower-ground-floor bedroom has a super king-size bed that can convert to a twin on request, along with an en-suite shower room and a sauna. A first-floor bedroom has a king-size bed and its own en-suite shower, and the ground floor has a double and a twin bedroom served by a family bathroom with bath and a separate shower room. A first-floor twin completes the layout, with an upstairs landing doubling as a games area with table football.

The kitchen opens onto a dining room with a wood burning stove, and there's a separate sitting room. The kitchen is fitted with an American-style fridge/freezer, an induction range cooker, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, and two Smart TVs with Freesat and WiFi are provided. Cots and highchairs are available on request, and the house has stairgates fitted.

Outside, a large level lawn has a football goalpost, and the wider garden includes a pond with some steep drops and steps, so children need supervising. Two sun decks have outdoor furniture, and there's a gravelled BBQ and fire pit area plus a six-person hot tub. Electric car charging is included in the rent, and off-road parking is ample.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and the house is no smoking with no stag, hen or similar group bookings. Check-in is from 5pm and check-out by 9.30am, with an extra charge possible for a late departure. The shop and pub are about a mile away, and the beach is around 1.6 miles.
