Valentines Cottage

This two-storey cottage sits close to the shops and pubs of Braunton, a few metres' stroll away, making it a practical base for a family or group of adults wanting village amenities within easy walking distance. It sleeps up to five across three bedrooms, with North Devon's coast and countryside close at hand, including public footpaths, bridleways and the 30-mile Tarka Trail cycle route between Braunton and Meeth. Saunton Golf Club's championship links lie around 2.5 miles away.

The ground floor has an open lounge with a wood burner-effect electric fire, comfortable seating and a selection of books, along with a kitchen/diner equipped for family meals, picnics and snacks, and a separate WC. Upstairs there is a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room, a twin room and a single room, served by a family bathroom.

Outside, patio doors from the lounge open onto an enclosed, south-facing courtyard garden with a dining table, chairs and a parasol, suited to alfresco meals or cooking on the barbecue. Private parking is available for one car, and the pub and shop are around 200 metres away, with the beach approximately 2.5 miles distant.

Families travelling with young children can request a travel cot, highchair and stairgate. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. The kitchen includes an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and a fridge/freezer is also provided. Entertainment includes a TV, DVD and stereo in the lounge, a TV/DVD and iPod dock in the king-size bedroom, a TV in the twin bedroom and an iPod dock in the single. Arrival is from 16:00, with departure required by 09:00, and towels are provided throughout the stay.
