Tor View @ Fourwinds

Tor View is an end-terrace cottage within Fourwinds Cottages, a group of three cottages in Meldon, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and around 3 miles from Okehampton. It has been freshly refurbished and sleeps 3 across two bedrooms, suiting a couple or a small family.

A ground-floor sitting room with countryside views and a television sits alongside a kitchen/diner, below two upstairs bedrooms reached by stairs that can be steep for some guests. The kitchen/diner has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, freezer and a dining table for evening meals.

Upstairs, a king-size bedroom has its own feature fireplace, views and storage space, alongside a single room suited to a child. A bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC serves both bedrooms.

Fourwinds Cottages share a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, a games room with a pool table and football table, and a rear garden with a patio, picnic bench and furniture. Off-road parking is provided for one car, and WiFi can be intermittent given the rural location. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Tor View takes one well-behaved dog, kept on the lead around the grounds where free-range chickens roam, and smoking is not permitted. The nearest pub is about a mile away and the nearest shop 1.4 miles, with Okehampton castle, golf club and train station a short drive further on.
