Brightley Mill Barn

Brightley Mill Barn is a newly renovated barn conversion in the hamlet of Brightley, about 2 miles from Okehampton and close to the Dartmoor National Park. Underfloor heating warms the ground floor from the slate-floored hallway onward, and the barn sleeps 3 across two ground-floor bedrooms and a bathroom.

The master king-size double has an exposed beam, and a single bedroom with limited headroom sits alongside, both served by a bathroom with a roll-top bath, a separate shower, basin and WC. Upstairs, the stairs open directly into an open-plan living area with a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and a woodburning stove, with fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove included in the rent.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher, plus a selection of books and games, and there's a TV with FreeSat and WiFi. Shared off-road parking is available for 6 cars, with a secure bike store and an electric vehicle charging point on site by arrangement with the owners.

A paved front area and patio garden have furniture and a barbecue, with a small lawned garden beyond looking over a stream and paddock towards the woods. Brightley Mill Barn does not accept pets and does not allow smoking, children under 12 cannot be accommodated, and bookings must run Friday to Friday with 7 days' notice required. Okehampton's medieval castle, museum and train station are all around 2 miles away.
