Camellia Lodge

Camellia Lodge sits close to the north-western edge of Dartmoor National Park, a few miles from Okehampton, where shops, takeaways and supermarkets cater for walkers, cyclists and climbers heading onto the moor. An Italian restaurant and bar are within walking distance, and a shop is roughly a mile away.

The lodge is entered via a gently sloping ramp or a set of external steps, leading into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner with floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors onto a decked terrace. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, plus a utility cupboard housing a washing machine. A Smart TV sits in the lounge, with a second TV in the double bedroom, and a flame-effect electric fire adds warmth to the living space.

Sleeping up to four guests, the accommodation comprises a ground-floor master double bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC, and a twin room, with a further bathroom offering a shower over the bath and WC. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger guests.

Outside, the front decked terrace suits al fresco dining, while the rear deck has a private sunken hot tub fitted with an iPod dock and speakers; the water is emptied and refilled between bookings, so it may need time to reach temperature on the first evening. There is off-road parking for two cars, and up to two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. The garden area is enclosed, and internet access is available throughout the stay.
