Thorny Tallet

Thorny Tallet sits on a working farm outside Okehampton, reached along a short farm track with views toward Dartmoor National Park. The barn conversion sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, sharing one bathroom with a bath and a separate walk-in shower.

The sitting room is built around a woodburning stove, with a complimentary basket of logs provided and further baskets available to buy locally. A well-equipped kitchen/diner sits alongside, fitted with an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge with an ice box, plus a TV and WiFi for evenings in.

Heating comes from underfloor heating run by a ground source heat pump, and fuel and power are included in the rent. Thorny Tallet takes two well-behaved dogs, though the enclosed garden isn't guaranteed escape-proof for larger or more agile breeds, so owners are asked to keep an eye on them outside.

Off-road parking is provided at the property, and charging an electric vehicle is only possible by prior arrangement with the owner rather than as standard. The pub is 5.4 miles away and the nearest shop 6.2 miles, with Okehampton itself close by for a wider choice of shops and restaurants. Changeover day is Friday only, and smoking isn't permitted.
