Fir Lodge

Fir Lodge stands close to the north-western edge of Dartmoor National Park, three miles from Okehampton, where shops, takeaways, supermarkets and specialist outlets for walkers, cyclists and climbers are within easy reach. Dartmoor itself has miles of walking routes for all abilities, from gentle strolls to demanding hikes, while Lydford Gorge, Roadford Lake Country Park and the city of Exeter lie further afield. External stairs lead up across a raised decked terrace to the front door, opening directly into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining space.

The lounge has feature windows and a Smart TV, with a flame-effect electric fire for cooler evenings. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and a separate utility cupboard houses the washing machine while adding extra storage.

Accommodation for four guests is arranged across two bedrooms off the hall: a double with its own en-suite shower room, WC and TV, and a homely twin room. A further ground-floor bathroom, fitted with a shower-over-bath and WC, also serves the property.

Outside, the enclosed decked terrace holds a private sunken hot tub with a built-in iPod dock and speakers, along with garden furniture for meals and drinks outdoors. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and a pub is located on-site with a shop a mile away. Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying, and a travel cot and highchair are available for younger visitors. The property is decorated for Christmas.
