The Pilot House

This property sits on a residential road within walking distance of Brixham, the working harbour town known for its fishing fleet and seafood. Steps lead up to the entrance and into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, where a wood burner (logs not included) sits alongside a Smart TV in the lounge. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and coffee machine, with doors opening onto the patio.

Sleeping up to 8 across four bedrooms, the layout places a king-size, a double and a single bedroom on the first floor, alongside a bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. A second WC sits on the ground floor. Up a further steep staircase, the second-floor attic bedroom has three single beds and a sloping ceiling; it is not suitable for unsupervised children under 3 or guests with restricted mobility.

A games room keeps younger guests occupied, with a Wii console, balance board, dance mat, arcade machine and board games, plus a Smart TV; there's also a TV/DVD in the triple room. The garage below the property houses a table tennis table and football table, and provides off-road parking for one medium-sized car, though the sloped entrance has a height restriction of 1.7m. Outside, a split-level enclosed terrace garden has a patio table and chairs, with steep steps up to the upper terrace.

Wi-Fi is included, and a highchair is available for younger visitors. Two dogs are welcome, though the property is best suited to small dogs given the outdoor space, and additional charges may apply. As this is a family home in a residential area, the owners do not accept group bookings, hen or stag parties. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out by 10:00.
