The Old Cider Barn

The Old Cider Barn is a traditionally thatched cottage close to Hope Cove, arranged over three floors and linked by a metal staircase. The open-plan living and dining room leads through French doors onto a Juliet balcony, and the cottage sleeps 6 across two bedrooms.

The ground floor holds the kitchen, living and dining room and a wet room with a walk-in shower. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a super-king-size bed and a freestanding copper bath, and the second bedroom is a family room with a double bed plus a second-floor mezzanine holding two single beds, served by its own shower room. The property takes a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children, including use of the mezzanine twin beds.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and microwave, with underfloor heating throughout and two Smart TVs. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent, along with fuel and power. Outside, a small courtyard has seating for a morning coffee, though barbecues are not permitted because of the thatched roof.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and off-road parking is provided for one car. The property is strictly no smoking, and the nearest shop is 1.6 miles away with a pub around a mile. The beach at Mouthwell Sands, Hope Cove's own stretch of sand and rock pools, is under a mile from the door, and the South West Coast Path runs past for walkers.
