Cottage View

Cottage View sits in a quiet cul-de-sac above the fishing village of Hope Cove, close to the South West Coast Path. The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms, with the master bedroom giving sea views over the cove towards Bolt Tail, and steps lead from the parking area up to the house, which is worth planning around for anyone with limited mobility.

The open-plan kitchen-diner has a four-ring ceramic hob, a fridge-freezer, a washer-dryer, a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine, with a pine table seating six. The lounge has two sofas, a traditional fireplace and a widescreen smart TV, opening into a conservatory with sliding doors onto the terrace.

The master bedroom has a super king-size bed, storage and a TV, the second bedroom has twin beds that convert to a super king-size on request, and the third has full-sized bunk beds. A family bathroom sits on the first floor, with a second shower room downstairs.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome on the ground floor only, for a small weekly charge per dog, with a stairgate, bowls and blankets provided. Outside, an enclosed south-facing garden has a picnic table and barbecue, plus a public footpath giving a shortcut down to the beach, pub, cafe and village shop. There is parking for three medium cars, and beach chairs and a windbreak are provided, though guests need to bring their own beach towels. Charging electric cars on site is not permitted, and the cottage is strictly no smoking.
