The Lookout - Ilfracombe

The Lookout is a second-floor apartment in Ilfracombe with views over the harbour and town from every room, including a clear sightline to Damien Hirst's Verity statue on the pier. An internal staircase leads up to the apartment, so it is worth noting that there is no step-free access. Capacity is four guests across two bedrooms: a double and a twin room with zip-and-link beds that can be converted to a king-size on request. There is one bathroom, fitted with a shower over the bath and WC.

The open-plan living space combines a lounge, kitchen and dining area, furnished with a corner sofa and Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Internet access is included. There is no dedicated parking; the practical notes allow for loading and unloading, with roadside parking within 100 yards subject to availability, and a public car park around 0.4 miles away.

The beach is around 500 metres on foot, and a shop and pub are within 350 metres. The South West Coast Path is similarly close, and the tidal bathing pools at Tunnels Beaches are roughly 800 metres away via cliff-carved tunnels dating from the 1820s. Woolacombe and Croyde are under ten miles by road for surf beaches.

No dogs are permitted at this property. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00.
