Sitting right on the water's edge and just off the coastal path, this first-floor apartment in Ilfracombe puts the sea directly in front of you. The open-plan interior is minimalist and flooded with natural light, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the water throughout the day. A contemporary kitchen runs along one wall with plenty of worktop space, a gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, NutriBullet blender and espresso machine. A peninsula at the sink lets you do the washing-up while watching the sea, and a small dining table sits in one of the bay windows.

Two mid-century chairs in a second bay window make an easy spot for morning coffee. The lounge area has comfortable sofas, rugs, Sky TV with Bluetooth wireless headphones and a DVD player. Two double bedrooms share a bathroom that includes a separate shower, and the apartment sleeps four guests. No dogs are permitted.

Children under seven cannot stay here due to the floor-to-ceiling windows; the property is only suitable for babes in arms below that age. There is no dedicated on-site parking, but pay-and-display car parks are nearby and guests can purchase a parking permit online before arriving. A shared patio with a bench sits outside, looking towards the cliffs and the sea.

Shops, the harbour, pubs and the beach are all within walking distance. Fishing trips and pleasure cruises leave from the natural harbour, and the sandy beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde are within easy reach, as is the rugged landscape of Exmoor National Park.
