The Little White House

This 19th-century house sits on a pedestrian street in Dartmouth, within a few hundred metres of shops, cafes and a pub. The house is arranged over three floors and reached by steep, cottage-style stairs, so it suits guests who are comfortable with stairs rather than families with toddlers.

The ground floor holds an open-plan living area with a gas fire and a kitchen with a breakfast bar, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and a Nespresso coffee machine with pods. A twin bedroom and the family bathroom, with bath and separate shower cubicle, occupy the first floor. The top-floor double bedroom has low, sloping ceilings with reduced head height and a television and DVD player, along with views across the town.

Outside, a small seating area at the front of the property has a table and chairs for two. Internet access is available inside the house. A parking permit for one car is provided for Mayors Avenue Car Park; from 25 May to 1 September it can only be used there between 3pm and 10am, while at other times of year it remains subject to availability. The owner also supplies passes for the Dartmouth park and ride, which operates 24-hour parking, for times when the car park permit does not apply.

This is a self-catering house for up to four guests, with towels included in the stay. A minimum stay of three nights applies, and dogs are not permitted. Beach towels are not provided, so pack your own if you plan a trip to the coast.
