The Linney

The Linney is an all-ground-floor studio cottage in Littleham, a short walk from the village pub, and sleeps 2 in a single open-plan room. It sits within the owner's grounds, where sheep graze in the surrounding fields. Vaulted ceilings and timber fixtures run through the space, with a king-size bed set on a raised platform.

The open-plan interior is split-level, with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area built around a woodburning stove. A separate shower room has a shower, basin and WC. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove are included in the rent, along with bed linen and towels.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, slimline dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a 32-inch smart TV with Netflix, BBC, ITV and All 4, and an iPod dock, DAB radio and CD player. Outside, a small seating area and a shared lawn with a barbecue give room to sit out, and bike storage is available. Guests can buy fresh bread, cakes, free-range eggs and vegetables from the owner when available, and stabling or grazing for a guest's own horse can be arranged directly with them.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, though cats are not permitted, and dogs must be kept on leads in the grounds. A highchair is available, and off-road parking is ample. Smoking is not permitted, and the preferred changeover day is Friday during the April-to-September peak season. The village shop is 3 miles away, with the pub a five-minute walk.
