The Haybarton Cottage

Converted from a traditional Devon haybarn, The Haybarton Cottage sits within the Blackdown Hills AONB near Upottery and sleeps six across three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite. The ground-floor twin bedroom has patio doors opening onto the East Devon countryside and an en-suite walk-in shower room with WC. Upstairs, a king-size room has a shower en-suite with WC, while the super-king room can be split into twin beds on request and comes with an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

The interior centres on a light lounge with a wood burner and FreeSat TV, and a kitchen-dining room with a range oven, dishwasher, coffee machine and a dining table large enough for twelve. A utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Highchairs, a travel cot and cot-bed are available on request, and a locally produced welcome pack is provided on arrival. All logs for the wood burner are included.

Outside, a private terrace provides a dining area with comfortable seating, a Weber BBQ and a firepit with views across the countryside. Beyond the terrace, five acres of shared grounds give children room to run freely, with swings and an in-ground trampoline. Open lakes within the grounds attract wildlife but require close supervision of children at all times. Off-road parking for two cars sits directly outside the cottage, and an EV charger is on site. The village pub in Upottery is under half a mile away. Honiton, known for its antique shops and cafes, is around ten minutes by car, and popular beaches including Sidmouth, Branscombe, Beer and Lyme Regis are approximately fifteen miles away. No dogs are permitted at this property.
