The Cowbyre Cottage

The Cowbyre Cottage is a converted Devon cowbarn sleeping six across three en-suite bedrooms, set within the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Upottery. The original structure has been opened up to create a vaulted open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, with a large dining table for six and a wood burner stocked with complimentary logs. A Smart TV sits in the lounge, and the kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Bedrooms are arranged across two levels. The ground-floor twin has a walk-in wet room with en-suite shower and WC, making it well suited to guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Down a short internal staircase, the super-king room (which can be configured as a twin on request) features a free-standing bath alongside its en-suite shower room and WC. The king room is upstairs with its own en-suite shower room and WC. A highchair, travel cot and cot-bed are available on request.

Outside, the private garden has comfortable seating, a family dining area, a Weber BBQ and a firepit. Off-road parking for two cars sits directly in front of the cottage, and an EV charger is available on site by prior arrangement with the owners. Beyond the private garden, five acres of shared grounds surround the property, with swings, an in-ground trampoline and space for garden games. Open lakes lie within the grounds and require supervision of children at all times.

The dog-friendly village pub in Upottery is under half a mile away on foot. Honiton, roughly ten minutes by car, has shops, restaurants and antique dealers. Two dogs are welcome, each with their own arrival pack, though additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00.
