The Hay Barn

The Hay Barn is a cottage conversion on Bickleigh Farm near Halwell, close to the farm's shared indoor pool and play area. It sleeps 5 across two bedrooms upstairs: a king-size double with an en-suite bathroom, and a triple room where two beds can be zip-linked into a super king-size on request, with its own en-suite shower room.

Downstairs, a slate-floored kitchen has a sociable dining area, a fridge, freezer, microwave and a TV with Blu-ray and DVD, and the sitting room has oak floors, beams and a wood burning stove. A ground-floor WC and utility room, with a washer-dryer, sit off the kitchen. The two bedrooms upstairs have rustic oak floors and balustrades.

Guests share the farm's indoor pool, play area and games room with the neighbouring Bickleigh Farm cottages, and the cottage has its own sunny patio with a low wall for family barbecues. A cot and a highchair can be arranged on request, and three well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Off-road parking is provided for three cars, and WiFi, fuel and power are included in the rent. The shop and pub are under a mile away. Bookings between Easter and early September, including short breaks, must start on a Friday or a Monday.

Halwell is a small village in wooded farmland, roughly equidistant from Kingsbridge and Totnes. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent, along with WiFi throughout the cottage.
