Foxglove Fold

Foxglove Fold is a shepherd's hut set in the South Devon countryside near Totnes, arranged for two guests only. The king-size bed sits in a snug alcove, with hot water bottles provided for chilly nights, and a compact kitchen area with a gas combi oven and hob handles simple cooking. A fold-out dining table gives you somewhere to eat indoors, while a cushioned nook beside the wood burner is the spot to settle in once the light fades.

At the far end of the hut is a shower room with WC. There is no Wi-Fi, television or mains electrical sockets inside, though USB points are fitted under each light switch for charging devices. This is a stay for unplugging rather than working remotely.

Outside, an enclosed garden leads to a raised decked area with a bistro table and chairs for meals outdoors, plus lounge chairs and a hammock for slower afternoons. A barbecue and fire pit with extra seating give you a place to cook and gather in the evening. Private parking for two cars is provided on site, and logs for the first basket in the wood burner are included.

The property does not accept children or infants, making it suited to couples wanting a quiet retreat rather than a family base. One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply. Check-in runs from 4pm and checkout is by 10am, with a local shop and pub each within a couple of miles for supplies or a meal out.
