The Granary Monkleigh

This barn conversion stands within the grounds of the owner's home near Monkleigh, close to Bideford, and sleeps up to four guests across two bedrooms. It has its own private access despite sharing the wider grounds, giving guests a self-contained holiday base.

Inside, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner runs beneath high ceilings and exposed beams, warmed by underfloor heating and a wood burner (the first basket of logs is included). The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, wine cooler and a Nespresso coffee machine, and a separate utility room holds a washing machine and tumble dryer. Smart TVs feature in the lounge and in both bedrooms.

The king-size bedroom has its own en-suite shower room with WC, while the second bedroom, a king-size zip-and-link that can be split into twin beds on request, is served by a separate bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. A highchair, travel cot and stairgate are available on request for families travelling with young children.

Outside there are three separate enclosed areas to use, including a courtyard reached through the property or via side steps, a further sitting space accessed through an orangery, and a front garden with lawn and seating. A charcoal barbecue is provided, and a walk-in fruit cage and children's climbing frame sit within the largest lawn. Private off-road parking is available for up to three cars, along with a 7kW EV charging point at an additional cost payable to the owner (guests should bring their own cable). Up to two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying.
