The Byre

The Byre is a single-storey, semi-detached cottage in Monkleigh, about 3.3 miles from Great Torrington, standing on the owner's own property. It sleeps 2 and suits a couple; the property is not suitable for children or babies.

A ground-floor king-size bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, a large vanity mirror, basin and WC, and rustic wooden latch doors on the interior. A vaulted, open-plan living space holds the kitchen, dining area with a breakfast bar for two, and a sitting area with cushioned sofas and an armchair, all with exposed wooden beams. A few stairs lead up to a mezzanine snug with a chair, potted plants and a selection of books.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, washing machine and a slimline dishwasher. Electric central heating covers the cottage, and there is a Smart TV and WiFi. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Outside, a front garden has a lawn, a gravelled area and furniture, with a footpath and two field gates giving access to nearby fields. Off-road parking is provided for one car.

No pets are allowed and the cottage is strictly no smoking. There are steps, exposed beams and sloped ceilings throughout, so care is needed moving around. The shop is 2.6 miles away and the pub, the Bell Inn, about a mile.
