The Granary

The Granary sits at Wyke, a short drive from Axminster, one of three cottages at the end of a private driveway near the borders of Devon, Somerset and Dorset. It is built in a reverse-level layout, with both bedrooms and the bathroom on the ground floor and the living space upstairs, arranged to make the most of the rural views.

Downstairs, a king-size bedroom and a single bedroom sit either side of a bathroom fitted with a bath, a shower over the bath, a towel rail and a WC. Upstairs, the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area runs the width of the cottage, lit by large windows on both sides, with a breakfast bar and a separate dining table looking out over farmland while meals are prepared.

Outside, a front garden patio offers seating with those same views, and guests can also use a shared garden area with flower beds and further seating, bordered by colourful planting. Parking is provided for 1 car. The owners also run an on-site hairdresser and beautician, and guests are welcome to book a treatment during their stay.

The Granary does not accept pets and is no smoking throughout. Heating is oil-fired with underfloor heating, and fuel and power are included in the rent. The shop is 1.3 miles away and the pub 1.4 miles, with the nearest beach around 7 miles off toward the Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis and Charmouth.
