Borders Edge Lodge

Borders Edge Lodge sits within a small complex near Axminster, a market town with shops, inns, restaurants and a weekly market. The lodge sleeps four across two bedrooms and is set up as a straightforward base for exploring the surrounding South Devon and Dorset coastline.

Inside, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner forms the main living space, with the kitchen fitted with an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher and a fridge. Dining is set beside patio doors leading out to the garden. The two bedrooms lead off the hall: a king-size master with en-suite shower room, and a twin room served by a separate shower room and WC. A utility room houses the washing machine and freezer, keeping laundry gear away from the main living areas.

Outside there is a patio with garden furniture alongside a private lawn, both accessed through the patio doors from the dining area. Off-road parking is provided on site, and Wi-Fi is included for guests who need to stay connected during their stay. The property draws on a private water supply.

Two small to medium dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply, and a travel cot and highchair are available for younger visitors. A downstairs bedroom and downstairs bathroom are both part of the layout, and the property is described as mobility friendly, though it is not a specialised disabled property. The nearest beach is around four miles away and the nearest pub roughly three miles, useful to factor in when planning meals or day trips without a car.
