The Craft House

The Craft House is an independent hotel inside a converted 1879 Victorian townhouse on Elliot Street, a four-minute walk from Plymouth Hoe and close to the Barbican. Individually decorated en-suite rooms range from compact doubles to king-size options, and a licensed bar and outdoor seating area anchor an independently run stay built around local makers rather than a chain-hotel formula.

The house partners with regional craftspeople, pouring small-batch craft beers, ciders and spirits behind the bar and arranging hands-on experiences in glassmaking, ceramics, metalwork and forging for guests who want more than a room for the night. Wifi and parking are available, alongside luggage storage, bicycle parking and meeting rooms for daytime visitors.

Plymouth Hoe is a few minutes' walk away, and the Plymouth Gin Distillery and National Marine Aquarium both sit within easy reach on the Barbican waterfront. Plymouth city centre, with its shops, restaurants and railway station, is close enough to reach on foot.
