Copthorne Hotel Plymouth

Copthorne Hotel Plymouth is a 135-room hotel in central Plymouth, on Armada Way and a five-minute walk from the Hoe and the Mayflower Steps at the Barbican. Rooms range from Standard to Deluxe, with the higher categories looking out over the city toward the Hoe, and each has tea and coffee making facilities plus a hairdryer in the bathroom.

50 Degrees North Brasserie & Bar serves British dishes built around local produce, open from breakfast through to dinner, with a separate bar area and 24-hour room service for guests arriving late. The hotel has a fitness centre but no swimming pool, and on-site parking costs £9 for 24 hours.

Plymouth train station is a ten-minute walk away, and the National Marine Aquarium sits a short walk from the Barbican on the waterfront. Dartmoor National Park and the Plymouth Gin Distillery are both a short drive out of the city centre for a day away from the harbour.

**Best for:** Guests wanting a city-centre base within walking distance of the Hoe and Barbican, with a restaurant and fitness centre on site.

**Less good for:** Guests wanting a pool, spa or a quiet edge-of-town setting - this is a busy commercial hotel in the middle of Plymouth.
