The Cake House

This home sits on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park, around two miles from Okehampton, and sleeps four across two upstairs bedrooms. The first has a king-size bed, while the second combines a double and a single, both with ample clothing storage.

Downstairs, the kitchen/diner is fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, and a dining table seats the household comfortably. A couple of steps lead down into the lounge, where a wood burner (with fire guard, and an initial basket of logs supplied between October and April) sits alongside a Smart TV. The bathroom, with shower over the bath and WC, is on the first floor, and there is a separate WC on the ground floor.

Outside, guests have their own seating area for al-fresco meals plus a private enclosed garden and patio to the side of the property, with a further lawn and seating area across the driveway. A BBQ is provided, and off-road parking is available for two cars.

One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply, and it must not go upstairs; a stairgate is fitted at both top and bottom of the stairs for this purpose. Dogs must be kept on a lead outside the property owing to neighbouring livestock. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, and internet access is provided.
