The Borrowers

The Borrowers sits in Norton Park, a small terrace of chalet-style cottages set around communal grounds two miles outside Dartmouth. Everything is on one level, and the open-plan living room brings together the kitchen, sitting and dining areas for a group of four for the whole of the stay.

The double and twin bedrooms sit off the same open-plan space, both brightly decorated, and share a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. An electric fire warms the sitting area on cooler evenings, alongside a TV, CD stereo and Bluetooth speaker for entertainment, so there's plenty to do once the day out is over.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and microwave, and bed linen and towels are provided for the stay, so there's little to pack beyond clothes and beach towels. There is no WiFi at the property, so guests relying on a steady connection should plan to bring their own mobile data.

Off-road parking is provided for one car, and the communal lawns give space to sit outside between trips into town. Two small dogs are accepted, making this a workable base for a family travelling with pets. The shop is within 0.6 miles and the pub within 2 miles, and smoking is not permitted anywhere on site, inside or out.
