The Bolthole

The Bolthole is a single-storey chalet on the Norton Chalet Park, about 2.9 miles from Dartmouth, on the outskirts of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park. It sleeps 4 across a double room and a twin room, served by a shower room with a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC. A sofa bed is available for occasional use if needed.

The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining and sitting areas around an electric fire, with a TV and WiFi for evenings in. The kitchen has an oven, a hob, a microwave and a fridge, and electric central heating runs off a coin meter, so power isn't included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included.

Off-road parking is provided, and the chalet shares access to communal grounds with a lawn. One well-behaved dog is welcome to stay, and smoking is not permitted inside.

The shop is around 0.9 miles away and the pub about 1.6 miles. Bookings need a minimum stay of 3 nights, rising to 7 nights between June and August, so it suits a settled week or long weekend rather than a quick overnight stop. With no stairs to manage and Dartmouth a short drive off, The Bolthole suits a couple or a family of four wanting a simple countryside base close to the coast.
