Surf View

Surf View stands opposite the sea in Woolacombe, a seven-bedroom detached house reached by a countryside walk of just over a mile to Woolacombe Sands. Off-road parking for six cars greets arrivals, with an elevated position looking over the surrounding countryside.

The house sleeps 14 across seven en-suite bedrooms. Upstairs holds a king-size room with Velux windows, while the ground floor has a super king-size, two doubles and a twin, two of the en suites with sea views. A separate annexe adds a further super king-size and a twin bedroom.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, three fridges and a fridge/freezer, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer. A dining room seats 14 guests with views over the coast and countryside, the sitting room has space to relax, and a first-floor games room has a TV, board games and jigsaws. Oil central heating covers the house, and the garden has a built-in barbecue and several sets of patio furniture. Steps at the back of the garden are very steep, and guests are advised not to climb them or use that elevated part of the garden.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome, though not in the bedrooms. The property only accepts 7-night bookings running Sunday to Sunday during July, August and school holidays, and stag or hen parties are not permitted. The walk into Woolacombe itself is rugged in places and may be difficult for anyone with limited mobility.
