Mount Rose

Mount Rose is a large modern six-bedroom home sleeping 12, less than half a mile from the village of Woolacombe. The property spans three floors with the main entrance reached via a sloping driveway and a number of steps, making it potentially unsuitable for guests with limited mobility. Four cars can park on the private driveway, and the garage houses a Type 2 EV charging point. The charger is untethered, so bring your own cable and register a paid account through the Monta Electric App on arrival.

Six bedrooms are distributed across all three floors. The upper level has two king-size rooms: one with an en-suite shower room and a private sea-view balcony, the other with its own balcony. A twin room on this floor has a garden-view Juliet balcony, and a separate shower room serves this level. The first floor holds a double room with patio doors to the garden and two twin rooms, all sharing a bathroom with bath and separate shower. A cloakroom WC sits on the lower ground floor.

The open-plan lower ground floor connects a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and snug. The range cooker has five gas rings, two electric ovens and a grill; further appliances include a dishwasher, wine cooler, pod coffee machine and hot water dispenser tap. The dining table seats all 12. One floor up, the main sitting room features a wood burner with the first basket of logs provided, and floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors open onto a large decked balcony with a glass balustrade where countryside and sea views stretch out. A washing machine, Smart TV, stairgate and travel cot are also available.

Outside, the fully enclosed rear tiered garden has a patio with garden furniture and a purpose-built BBQ with grill. Three balconies and an additional patio extend the outdoor options, and the garage holds secure storage for surfboards, bicycles and walking equipment. Up to four dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 17:00 and departure before 10:00.
