Spindle Wood

Spindle Wood is a timber pod set within a small complex of lodges and pods close to Okehampton, on the fringes of Dartmoor National Park. It sleeps four across two bedrooms, with a shop within a mile and a restaurant and bar within walking distance.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area forms the heart of the pod, with a sofa and Smart TV in the lounge and a forest view to the front. The kitchen has an induction hob, dishwasher, electric oven, fridge with freezer compartment and a Tassimo coffee machine. Both bedrooms lead off this central space: the king-size room and the twin room, which has two 2'6" single beds. A single shower room with shower and WC serves the property, so there is no separate bathroom.

Outside, a private hot tub sits on an enclosed patio, along with porch seating and further seating on the other side of the pod. A BBQ can be hired on request for £25 per week, payable directly to the owner, with £10 refunded if it is returned clean and in working order. Guests keen to skip cooking altogether can make use of the on-site pub and restaurant.

Parking is provided for one car, with electric vehicle charging also available on site. A highchair and travel cot can be supplied for younger guests, and up to two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 4pm and departure by 10am.
