SoundView

SoundView is a single-storey chalet at Down Thomas, close to Wembury, with an open-plan living area that looks straight out over Bovisand beach and the sea through glazed patio doors. A front patio garden with table and chairs continues those sea views outside, a spot for meals or watching the water. There are steps to the property, worth knowing if anyone in your group struggles with them.

Two double bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower cubicle, WC and basin, and the whole chalet is on the ground floor. The open-plan area combines the kitchen, dining space and sitting room, fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, a fridge with freezer compartment and a TV with Freeview and DVD. Fuel, power and bed linen are included in the rent.

Parking is a chargeable designated space for 1 car in the on-site car park, and instructions for the parking ticket are emailed before arrival. The site itself has a gate that locks in the evening, with guests given a key for access at any hour. An on-site seasonal shop is a 5-minute walk, the beach itself is 5 minutes away, and a pub sits about a mile off in Down Thomas.

Check-in is from 4pm, and changeovers are not accepted on Sundays or Bank Holidays. No pets are allowed and the chalet is no smoking throughout. Bookings are for holiday or leisure use only, not for work or business trips, and the site does not accept hen or stag parties.
