Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a semi-detached cottage in a rural setting a short distance from Barnstaple, with countryside views around the property. The open-plan living area has a dining table for four, and two steps lead down to the kitchen and its breakfast bar, which is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge.

Both bedrooms sit under skylight windows with oak storage and overhead beams, one a super king-size and the other a twin, each able to be reconfigured on request. The family bathroom has a corner bath and a wet-room style shower, and there is a separate cloakroom with a basin and WC on the ground floor.

Outside, a large communal garden and a raised patio area with furniture give plenty of space to sit out, and a stream runs through the grounds with chickens and ducks often nearby. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and a washing machine and dishwasher are both included in the kitchen.

No pets or smoking are permitted, and the property takes a minimum of two nights with Friday-only changeovers. There are 15 steps up into the property, and the single-track driveway can be affected by potholes and flash floods in heavy rain, so drive carefully. A travel cot, highchair and baby mat are provided, WiFi may be intermittent, and the shop and pub are 2.5 miles away.
