Rambler's Retreat sits at Hillhead, near Brixham, and suits two people looking for a self-contained base in South Devon. The accommodation is arranged as a single open-plan studio, combining a lounge, kitchen, diner and sleeping area within one space rather than as separate rooms.

The lounge area has a sofa facing a Smart TV, along with a dining spot, while the kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, an air fryer, a microwave and a fridge with an ice compartment. The sleeping area holds a double bed, and a wet-room-style shower room with a walk-in shower and WC completes the layout. A sofa bed is available in the lounge, though this does not increase the property's capacity beyond two guests.

Outside, there is a seating area at the front for morning coffee, and guests have use of a private off-road parking space for two cars. Electric vehicle charging is also available on site, with two free charges included for a seven-day booking; this needs to be arranged in advance directly with the property contact, and any additional charging is payable separately. There is no enclosed garden, though dog-walking areas are within a short walk.

Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges possible, and a travel cot and highchair can be provided on request. Wifi is available throughout the stay. Arrival is from 3pm and departure by 10am. The property can also be booked alongside an adjacent unit sleeping a further four guests for those wanting extra space, which can be arranged by enquiry.
